question for you officianados

Has anyone seen the Blind Dead movies? I just put all 4 of them (Tombs of the Blind Dead, Return of the Evil Dead, Ghost Galleon, Night of the Seagulls) in the queue at Netflix. From what I read they sound decent.

BTW, I don't know if I spelled officianados right - if I didn't, sorry! :D

You'll probably get them before I see them - they're at the bottom of the list! :D If you do, let me know how they are, OK?

i saw at least one of them a while back and wasnt impressed ..

picked up a double feature (anchor bay) a short while ago and havent watched it yet ..

The box set does look yummy ... i might buy it and give the whole bunch a go again.

i know Zwoti digs them ...

all i could remember is crumbly musty old zombies and not much gore ..
maybe i saw a cut version the 1st time ?

wELL I thinmk the Blind Dead movies is a lot of fun. They are horrible violent ghoul monsters after all. And if you like 70's horror films, which have their own special ambience, well, these can be quite satisfying

I like junk food, especically nachos. The word is "aficionado." And it's pronounced "a-fishin' for nachos."

The Blind Dead are great movie monsters, even if their films aren't great.

Actually, the first two are pretty good as far as exploitation cinema goes -- atmospheric, gory and effective, even if sometimes trashy. The third one has some okay atmosphere but it's a bit dull, and the last one just feels tired.

My favorite is RETURN OF THE BLIND DEAD. Read more here: http://www.hollywoodgothique.com/ret...ddead1973.html
