What Makes it a Horror Movie
I've been thinking recently, what makes something a horror movie. When reading Fangoria I often see articles about movies that are more sci-fi and such and was wondering why they are in there. I was also trying to tell my dad what make a certain movie a horror movie. What do people think makes a certain movie a horror over, say, a suspence or thriller?
For example, The Sixth Sense. Some people comsider it a horror but some people call it a thriller. What are some movies that people have trouble putting a lable as horror on, and what makes them horror or something else?

I think it's a matter of opinion don't really know how to explain it any better.
you said what are some films that fall under the subject you're talking about- Silence of the Lambs and Se7en are probably the main two films that are disputed. I see them both as psychological horror films but I've heard them referred to as crime drama and thriller.
