The Convent

You guys seen this low budget B horror movie, which stars Adrienne Barbeau and Joanna Canton? It's about these kids who go to an abandoned convent, to tag it with their frat letters, but wind up awakening the spirits of demon nuns killed 40 or so years ago. It's a really good cheesey B movie.

I've seen it. It's cheesy, but for me that it's appeal.

I always like to defend the low budget/straight to video movies. For the most part the Directors and Producers are passionate about what they are doing, and are true fans of the genre. At least some of their ideas are new and innovative, not just the re-hashing of an old story.

I remember not liking it upon first viewing a few years ago, but reading recent favourable reviews has led me to believe I must have been comatose or something at the time.

The Convent

Is it available on DVD? I enjoy the B rated splatter films also. I have read about this movie in a book I recently bought called "Beyond Horror Holocaust" which is a filmology of Splatter movies. An excellent book if you are in to Splatter films and the weird and obscure B movies. It's authored by Chas. Balun and published by Fantasma.
