Broken Lizard's Club Dread
I was a big fan of Broken Lizard's Super Troopers, so i was really excited when I heard about Club Dread. I saw it as soon as it came out. At first I didn't think too much of it because i was expecting them to act like the same characters from super troopers and seeing them act differenty threw me off. But I went back to watch it again with a few different friends and i thought it was hilarious. I bought it as soon as it came out on dvd.
Anyone else like it? Fav Lines From the Movie: "Am I the only one who thinks his head looks like an octopus?" "There is always one person who has to shit in the apple pie, well you just shat in the one apple pie that knows how to shit back." "This guy is gonna be picking his teeth out of my dump ... he doesn't even have teeth."

This is a repost of something I said AGES ago...my opinion stands fast:
I saw "club dread" last night.... You know, when I heard this was the 2nd film by Broken Lizard, after having seen and quiet enjoyed the ultra-stupid (But AT LEAST pretty fucking funny) Super Troopers, I was really looking foward to it. About 10 minutes in, I was still pretty confident that the Funny would "kick in"... Wrong. This movie FUCKING SUCKED. The characters sucked, all being just pathetic "should-be-funny" stereotypes...the acting sucked (not that that mattered with Super Troopers) and it wasn't funny at all IMO. Also, both the conclusion and the killers motives were totally stupid and pointless. And again, this film just WASN'T FUNNY. Man, I think troopers was the funniest cop movie since the first (and only the first) police academy, I'm glad to own it. I am so dissapointed - to think I waited like, a year to see this movie. What a waste of time. Just like KillBill2, some cocky motherfucker/s make a good movie, and cash in on it with a TOTAL PEICE OF SHIT. Fuck you Broken Lizard - I'm never seeing another movie by this "outfit" - that is If this p.o.s movie doesn't break the company anyway... Club Dread...More Like "Club-I-SUCK-SHIT-COVERED-ASS" - B.
