"From Dusk Till Dawn" TV Series - First Teaser
At the TCA press tour yesterday, Robert Rodriguez said that his upcoming "From Dusk Till Dawn" television series will flesh out the stories of Gecko brothers and the Meso-American mythology that informed about the 1996 film's vampires. The hour-long drama, which will premiere March 11th on the El Rey network, the cable channel Rodriguez launched last month, will follow the film in the beginning, but will later diverge from what happened to take a new path. D.J. Cotrona and Zane Holtz will play Seth and Richie Gecko, the characters played by George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino in the film, and Rodriguez is directing the first two and fourth episodes. Today, El Rey released its first teaser for the series: http://dailydead.com/first-trailer-p...l-dawn-series/

Watched the first couple of episodes and I think this has potential. Enjoying elements from the movie that have been fleshed out. I think this will get really good as it goes on... see it's already renewed for another season.
Definitely not the caliber of the original film but it was never going to be was it? |

I for one like it, I've tried to put my love of the movie aside...
I mean hey, it's better than the attempts at sequels they made IMO. Like EC, I'm finding the additions/fleshing out pretty interesting. I think I'm actually downloading episode 5 presently... I'm hoping that it will actually proceed past the events in the film, I'd like to see the brother/s story continue. It's not the best quality, but it's watchable with somewhat unusual twists to the original story.

I loved the original film, but this, I could not get into it, and i think he's a good director, just did not like all the flash backs, and it's just the film but elongated ;-(
