The Last Horror Movie

Just finished watching The Last Horror Movie. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it. I was very impressed, one of the most unique horror films I've seen in awhile.

Oh crap! Max is here....

Yes! I totally agree, I just saw this movie last friday for the first time. At first I was thinking oh great this movie is a complete rip off of "man bites dog" but soon enough it proved not to be, which is also when it started to get really cool. With the Killer getting in to the pyschological aspect (don't want to give away any spoliers) The whole concept I thought was fucking awesome by the time the end of the movie came I was just like, you're fucking kidding me thats great. And I might add it won best of the festicval at the 2004 eerie horror film fest, and best director if memory serves me right.

This movie is proof that you can shoot a movie with a single DV cam and get some decent distribution from it.

by the way, nice joke at the end of the post. Only people that saw it will get it. ;)

I didn't like it. The main guy's hair kept making me laugh. plus his acting wasn't too great (although I can't pinpoint why I think that). but by the time the big kicker at the end came around, I was pretty much laughing at this dude.

here's a spoiler:::

ok, when he was like, "this couldn't be the ONLY copy could it? I couldn't be watching you could I?" my suspension of disbelief was not... erm... suspended enough for me to take him seriously enough for this to have any effect. plus, I rented mine on dvd that explained the plot on the back, so it was just too damn obvious and unbelievable to have any effect.
sorry to keep on with the laughing stuff, but maybe some parts of it were meant to be funny.
every time he hit someone on the head, I thought it was hilarious (except the nastiness involving the chair leg).
one thing the movie succeeded at: I really did feel kinda sorry for the camera guy.
