Watching a movie you thought you liked, until watching it again
I'm sure everyone has done this, you watched a horror movie and you really liked it. then watch it again a few years later and realized you didn't really like it. What ones did this to you?
I'll start, seeing as Halloween is around the corner and I have a bunch of movies I watch every October, So I started off with Halloween. But not the original this was Rob Zombies reinvention. I've seen it several times since it came out. Part two was dumb though, didn't make any sense. But I liked the first one, especially having backstory on Michael, and his disfunctional family. So I pop it in, start watching. First off all the screaming and yelling from his family drove me nuts, plus I started noticing pretty much the entire cast of The Devils Rejects were everywere, which was something I originally liked about the movie, hell I love The Devils Rejects. That's when I noticed just too much similarity, and then it distracted me from the whole Michael Meyers aspect and I noticed it really wasn't like halloween at all and Michael was just a very violent man and not an unstoppable killer anymore. Also I decided to skip all the backstory and go straight to where the movie should have started, after Michael escapes the institution. Then it wasn't too bad but a good 45 minutes into the movie, the movie started. That's my "Oops I lied to myself all these years" moment. Last edited by stormr; 10-08-2016 at 01:02 PM. |
