Haunted Mansion

I didn't wanna put this in the new horror section as it's not REALLY horror. But did anyone bother seeing this Disney flick? It was basically what it said on the packet, a silly kiddie movie. But for a few moments it had some cool looking zombies it it! I was surprised they looked as good as they did considering the genre but they were great and it was like watching The Fog for a few moments. Shame it didn't last long.

It had some of the worst acting Ive ever seen, especially that kid from the Bernie Mac show, and I've never hated Eddie Murphy more. Maybe I was prejudice about this movie before I went because of my extreme dislike for good ol' Ed.

Ed really has done some shite hasn't he?!! This one didn't help but I expect kids will like it. Although I'm still in two minds if it was as bad as the Terror Tower movie, at least it didn't have Steve Guttenberg in it.

Okay, so it wasn't the greatest piece of cinema ever, but you gotta admit... The house was really cool. I believe (the exterior at least) was the same house where the Addams Family films were shot. Is this right?

Oh and the singing heads- they amused for me for quite a while...

Oh yeah the production values were amazing! I cannot fault anything to do with the sets or make-up or anything like that. I was fine with the acting too. It's just the script was poor, but as I said before it's aimed at kids and I'm sure kids got a lot more out of it as looking at it from their point of view it was funny and the ghosts and zombies were cool - the zombies were VERY cool. Not sure about The Addams Family house - would that not be owned by Paramount? But possible, yes.

The singing busts were funny, although I thought they didn't really fit in with the rest of the tone of the movie but of course were thrown in as they are one of the most memorable things from the ride.

Why did they change the storyline though as the storyline to the ride is totally different. I think it's about a sea Captain.

The house & singing heads were the best parts of the movie. I love when horror movies have awesome sets like that.

Too bad this wasnt horror.
