What are some great examples of filmmaking that really indulge you and show the talent the filmmaker has?

For example, one of my favorites is at the end of silent hill, right after *spoil* the big barb wire fight* end spoil** and the church door is opened with rose and sharon looking out into that misty luminescence symbolizing peace and stuff. It really nods points to the film.
