Yippie-ki-eh!!!!

I'm on my first holiday at my new house :D No work for me until the 16th. Plenty of DIY jobs around the house and garden to keep me busy.

Every room needs work doing to it at some point. A full revamp of the main lounge, and part revamp of the back lounge. Both the down & upstairs hallways will be completely done. The kitchen will be staying as it is for a while. Upstairs, the 4 bedrooms all need attention, especially the two back rooms which are going to be turned into a DVD library & Pc room, and the other room will become my exclusive DVD cinema room :D The main bedroom/shag pad will stay as it is, until I get a new superKingsize bed :D The guestroom already has a sofabed installed, but needs redecorating.

If anyone likes digging, volunters welcome... my garden could do with a fork putting through it, plus there's 5/6 big fir trees at the end that need topping, and while you're at it the brick sheds need new window frames, door frames and a couple of new doors. :)

Before I can get the library shelving up I've gotta sort the walls out. The previous owners completely messed up the plastering when the house was rewired. I'm gona have to go down the sanding route to sort the walls out around the sockets where they channeled the walls for the cabling. Every room needs that doing. Hiring a plasterer to do the whole house would cost me $$$$'s which I don't want to spend at the moment.

I'll probably get a pro in to replaster the two lounges downstairs, and maybe the hall way aswell, my dad helped me install an electronic thermostat controller. To get that fixed up in the downstairs hallway, we had to pull up the floor boards upstairs then drill through the ceiling, ran the cable through the hole and I've channeled down the hallway wall to sink the cable. The central heating is working ok now, but I'm leaving the channel unfilled for the moment until I get round to doing the hallway.
