Pulse Unrated

Ok Iv'e just watched Pulse Unrated. Why the hell they put it out as unrated has me stuffed. A film that has no gore, no sex, no nudity and consists of a few "boo" moments which you can see comming a mile away, and it's "unrated".
It appears to me that they are just releasing horror movies with the "unrated" tag just to sell them. The days where Unrated meant more gore and violence than they could put in the movie at the therters may be gone.
I would love to know what bit of this Unrated edition had to be cut from the original.

People just think they're going to be getting something special when the box says "unrated." As if they're privy to some secret that was too incredible to be seen in theaters.

I think 'unrated' now means they couldn't choose from G or PG-13.

There are a few exceptions. The unrated version of The Descent is different from the US theatrical version I saw in theatres. Not much, and it isn't as thought it's gorier or anything; it's just a different version.
