A TALE OF TWO SISTERS Two teenage sisters Anna and Alex Rydell return home from a mental hospital only to find their recovery unraveling because of a cruel stepmother, clueless father and a lingering ghost. ANGUISH No official plot yet, but the original followed the audience in a small movie theater as they watch a film about an optometrist on a killing spree, only to be stalked and killed by a maniac in the theater. THE BAD SEED No official plot yet. BATTLE ROYALE No official plot yet, but the original followed a not-too-distant Japan as violence among the youth have sky-rocketed, leaving the government to create a program dubbed "Battle Royale", in which a class of 40-something high school students are sent to a remote island to battle one another, with only one to survive. THE BIRDS (IN TALKS) No official plot yet, but the original told of a town riddled with birds which attack anyone in sight. BLACK CHRISTMAS A group of sorority girls are stalked by a mysterious killer during Christmas break. BLACK SABBATH No plot yet. BLOOD ON SATAN'S CLAW No official plot yet. THE CHANGELING The original was about a man who tries to solve the mystery behind the mysterious happenings in his new home. CHILD'S GAME The original film followed a couple of tourists who arrive on an island where the children have mysteriously murdered all the adults. CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS No official plot yet, but the original told of a group of young people in a graveyard on a remote island planning a ritual to awaken the dead. THE CRAZIES No official plot, but its been said that it'll update from the original. THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON An update of the original film. DAY OF THE DEAD No official plot yet. DEAD DAUGHTERS The original revolved around three girls who are murdered by their mother and their ghosts seek vengeance by randomly picking people to observe and if the subject does something wrong or acts out of line, the girls hold a merciless trial. DEATH LINE At the turn of the century a group of diggers became trapped beneath London while working on the tunnels for the new tube-train. Somehow surviving underground, the group eventually become inbred cannibals who now prey on late-night stragglers that roam the station. The very last of the group kidnaps a young lady in hopes of replacing his dead spouse, but the woman's boyfriend and the police slowly close in on their location. THE DOLL MASTER No official plot yet, but the original told of dolls that take on the lives fo their owners after they are dead. DON'T LOOK NOW No official plot yet. THE ENTITY The story follows a woman whose life crumbles when she believes she is being repeatedly molested and raped by an unseen paranormal force. EVIL DEAD No official plot yet. THE EYE The original film told the story of a blind women getting eye surgery to regain her eyesight, but once she does she sees ghosts. FIEND WITHOUT A FACE No official plot yet. FUNNY GAMES A husband, wife, and their son are terrorized at their vacation cabin by a pair of young sadists. THE GHOST No official plot yet, but the original told of a teenage girl suffering from amnesia who discovers that she is somehow connected to a group of people who are being killed off one by one by a vengeful ghost. HALLOWEEN Plot is currently not known, but it's said to not be a copycat of any previous Halloween films. HELLRAISER No official plot yet, but the original told the story of a mysterious puzzle box that's the key to unleashing sadistic demons to the real world. THE HITCHER The film will follow two young college students as they drive cross-country and encounter the mysterious and terrifying John Ryder -- The Hitchiker, who makes it a point to make their lives a living hell. THE HOUSE ON STRAW HILL It's said to follow three female college students as they're in Italy studying, only to get lured into a similar place from the first film. I SAW WHAT YOU DID The original was about two teenaged girls who make a series of prank phone calls to strangers, whispering 'I saw what you did, and I know who you are.' In the film, the fun stops when they randomly ring a man who has just murdered his wife. IN-UTERO The original film told the story of a pregnant woman who has a near-death experiment, which results in her to see spirits. INFECTION The original followed the problematic staff at a rundown and isolated hospital, where a mysterious infection among the patients is revealed to have a supernatural origin. INTO THE MIRROR No official plot yet, but it's said to revolve around a mysterious mirror that brings out the worst aspects of people whenever they look at themselves in it. IT'S ALIVE The original movie told the story about a baby who was born a monster and has a natural appetite to kill. LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT The original told the story of a gang of rapists and murderes who seek refuge in the home of the parents of one of the slain teenage girls that they murdered hours earlier. Once the parents find out they plan to deal proper revenge against the group in harsh and painful ways. LETS SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH The film follows a college man who has to trick his girlfriend into thinking the campus is haunted in order to get into a local fraternity, but apparently things go "too far". LOFT The original told the story of a writer who moves into a room in a suburban house and discovers that a neighboring professor is researching ancient mummies, and that the room she's in was once inhabited by another woman who went missing. MALEFIQUE The story revolves around an eclectic group of four inmates sharing one prison cell, where they find a book of occult spells and attempt to use the magic to escape, but things don't go as planned. MY BLOODY VALENTINE No plot yet. NEAR DARK The original told the story of a traveling family of vampires, who reluctantly bring a young new member into their group. We follow the family as they cause trouble in various towns and ultimately getting the law to catch up to them. NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 3D In this film Barb and her bro arrivate late for the burial of their aunt only to flee zombies and get rescued by a local college student. They then seek refuge at a nearby farmhouse, where they spend the rest of their days. ONE MISSED CALL The story revolves around a college student whose friends begin receiving cell phone messages from the future in which they hear themselves being murdered. When she receives her own death message, the coed has three days to change her fate. PIRANHA No official plot yet, but the original told the story of genetically-altered piranhas released into the public. PROM NIGHT Plot is currently not known. SHUTTER No official plot yet, but the original told the story of a young couple as they tie the strange visions they've encountered recently to a hit-and-run. SOLSTICE The story revolves around a young girl who uncovers a disturbing secret about her twin sister, whom committed suicide a few months before. SPELL No official plot yet, but the original told the story of a young girl, who's an outcast in school and resorts to a quija board to take care of her bullies. THE STEPFATHER No official plot yet, but the original told the story of a father who murders his family after he seemingly feels that they don't measure up to his high expectations of the perfect family. He then moves on to find another family. TERROR TRAIN No official plot yet, but the original told of a bunch of college coeds fending off against a killer on a train. WHEN A STRANGER RETURNS No official plot yet, but the original told the story of similar events of the first movie happening to a new girl, and the victim from the first film is now aiding the new girl with the help of a retired cop that also worked on the original case back in '79. THE WITCHES The original followed a young boy who discovers a gathering of witches in a seaside resort. THE WIZARD OF GORE No official plot yet, but the original was about a TV talk-show hostess and her boyfriend as they investigate a shady magician whom has the ability to hypnotize and control the thoughts of people in order to stage gory on-stage illusions using his mind bending powers. THE WOLF MAN An update of the classic tale of a man who returns from America to England, where he gets bitten by a werewolf and does what werewolves normally do.

relax, there will always be an original horror movie.
In January there are two GREAT ones coming out HATCHET & BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON and get this...Anchor Bar is distributing them...THEATRICALLY These two films will be the first theatrical releases from Anchor Bay (until now they've only done video/dvd distribution) Go see these movies and we'll get more like them!

hehe, I have already seen Behind the Mask, and I can tell you all that it is a BRILLIANT deconstruction of horror movies, as well as their rules and traditions. If you thought that Scream was good at that, you have seen nothing yet!

Well good luck with that script then!
Glosserman was a treat when he presented his movie. Really funny and witty fellow, as his movie was as well. For all who enjoy classic slasher movies and their conventions and clichés, this one's a must. And I'll be sure to look out for Hatchet, if it comes to Canada that is (hopefully)...
