haunted painting movie request
I've been looking for this movie for years, ever since I first saw it. I was flipping through channels late one night and caught the middle of a movie about a couple, around 50-60 years old or so, who acquired a haunted painting (I didn't see exactly how the painting came into their hands). Neither of them knew the painting was haunted though. I can remember the painting clearly (the first few stages atleast). There was a big barn or cottage with a meadow, a fence, and perhaps a stable or something, and a young woman who stood to the side of it. The main focus of the movie was that every day, the woman in the painting seemed to be in a different area or doing different activities. One scene I clearly remember is that on one day, the woman was inside the cottage/barn looking out through the window. Even though the owners were startled by this, the husband didnt seem to mind the strange occurances after a while. Infact, he began looking forward to seeing what changes would come to the painting the next day. The last scene I remember is of a distraught husband after he notices that the woman had completely disappeared one day. He spent quite a bit of time pondering where she could have gone. The movie was set in an older era but not too old. It could have been the 20s-40s, maybe even later.
I hope these details are enough to get a good lead. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out. |

Funny.
The whole movie describtion sounds like a scene from either "In the mouth of madness" or "The Witches". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113409/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100944/

I have a similar question about the name of a movie or show with a painting that changes. I saw this on TV about 12 years ago. I'm pretty sketchy on the details, so much of this is likely wrong.
The movie/show in question: Some guy has a painting on the wall by his stairs -- I think the painting is of his backyard. For whatever reason, he kills some guy and buries him in his backyard. Later, he looks at the painting and notices that it's changed. At first he probably just sees the ground disturbed from where he buried the guy, but soon he sees the corpse of the guy he buried getting out of the grave. Gradually, the painting changes (over several days?) and each day the corpse walks a little closer to the guy's house. When the corpse has made it to the house in the painting, the guy gets really spooked, and I think he falls down the stairs. (Also, I think at some point there may have been two walking corpses in the painting) |

Thanks VampiricClown!
Night Gallery episode "The Cemetery" (Season 1, Episode 1) "A black-sheep nephew murders his ailing uncle for the inheritance only to find some disturbing changes in the old man's painting of the family graveyard." |
