Please tell me this is a joke. What happened to the Robin Hardy retelling with Sean Astin and Christopher Lee???

I really liked the 70's version of this film. Anchor Bay did a great job with both a theatrical and directors cut DVD, and a pine box special edition with both versions. Who's part is Cage taking? The policeman part or Lee's part? Kinda sounds 8MMish now that I think about it.

Oh no. Who can you trust anymore? I thought Neil LaBute was a refreshing and original new talent in the mundane plod-plod of current American cinema... but there you go, then. The saving grace here is that the original Wicker Man was and will remain a one-of-a-kind gem, and it will not be tarnished by any Hollywood remake, no matter how hard they might try.
