Combat Shock

I recently purchased and watched this film on the 2 disc from the Tromasterpiece collection. Very derivative of Taxi Driver and Eraserhead IMO, but still powerfull and interesting. The documentary feature was informative and featured some real heavyweights such as John McNaughton, Richard Stanley, Bill Lustig and Jim VanBebber discussing the impact the film had on them. I wasn't as impressed as I expected to be, but I suppose that's what happens when you've been reading and hearing about a film for nearly 20 years then you finally see it.

Great ending though.

I was at it for the British Premere at some English Horror fest in the Scala - Buggy G presented it. I really liked it at the time - i've seen it once since but hat was years ago..

I must get the DVD.

They also sshowed the showreel ofr Manic 2 which looked amazing but unfortunally Joe Spinell died before it was made.

Is that the recently released The Last Horror film or that Mr. Robie thing I've heard about? I've heard of both of them referred to as Maniac 2. A sequel wouldn't be far fetched considering Zito being ripped apart was aparrently a fantasy and the cops who stumbled into his evidence laden apartment at the end simply shrugged and walked out the door!
