Sci Fi movie?
I watched this movie a LOT when I was a kid but I can't remember the name of it for anything.....There's this kid, and he catches a weird beetle thing and puts it in a can, and then I think he stows away on a pirate spaceship that looks like a big pair of boobs. The captain looks like Harry Canyon from Heavy Metal, there's a psychic alien, and a woman who doesn't like kids, and a nice looking younger guy. The kid's home planet sends this scary robot run ship after them, and there's an alien on a space base who's a gangster and eats little mouse-looking things. Finally they all get killed except for the captain, who gets shot but doesn't die. Now that I think about it, the captain's name is Hawk. He takes the kid home.
Any ideas? It's driving me nuts.

I think if it's a movie someone grew up with, then it's a classic movie regardless of how good it actually is.
I remember seeing it a couple of times on cable, and I think I even rented this once. Classic Corman.
