I also thought of Jackman having a bit of Gable. Stiller does his own stye of comic energy and neurosis. IMO Gosling doesn't have the deep experienced voice & presence of Bogart, but has potential. Mulligan I dont know well (guess you like Drive?), but she seems much more a Julie Andrews type than the "shrewd genius badger below" of Bettie Davis.
