SCAREYCROWS
A group of local film makers led by the director Lucy Townsend are launching a new initiative to complete the comedy-horror film Scareycrows which has been filmed around Dawlish over the last year.
Lucy has been making short films for some years but Scareycrows is her first feature length production. The tongue-in cheek story tells how Amy, a trainee hairdresser, has to fight to save her boyfriend when the town is over run by a horde of killer scarecrows.
“Scareycrows has become something of a community project.” Lucy explained. “I always knew it was an ambitious project as the film has over twenty main characters and fifteen locations but once people began to hear about what we were doing I was amazed by how much help and support we received."
