It’s a great horror slasher film: the body count is ample, the deaths are gruesome, the nudity is decent, & the girls are cute. The story is horrendous – but excusable – in lieu of the movie’s strengths.
As a re-make of the 1980 classic, it stinks. It's really a sequel - not a re-make - as it picks up at the end of the first movie with Jason's mother getting killed and proceeds from there.
The story is baffling even for a slasher flick
(the ending especially) but it's more of a let-down in the FT13 franchise.
