Awkward Horror-fan moments
Let me explain.
I'm in my early-twenties, recently graduated from university, unemployed (though that may change tomorrow, fingers crossed) and in the abolute worst period for buying a house.
In short, I live with my parents (as well as one of my sisters).
My parents know I like horror movies, but it's an interest they don't share (Same with science-fiction films). My mum's seen a few, and doesn't mind them, my dad just doesn't like them. He, and my mum, both like American Werewolf In London...but that's about it.
So, this morning, I get up, go downstairs and put on my DVD of House By The Cemetery. My dad walks in just as Ania Pieroni has her head cut off and sees the blood spurt all over.
I swear to god, for a moment, he was stunned.
He laughed it off and I did explain it was a Video Nasty so it's pretty violent, even so it felt awkward.
Anyone else have a moment like this?
