Oh yeah it's a much better crafted film stylistically but I just loved the raw energy of Reservoir Dogs. I dig how it's more condensed too Tarantino tends to ramble on a bit to long. Dogs just had more focus IMO. I didn't think much of Jackie Brown when it was first released but these days I rate it quite highly. It's a really mature film that honed his style nicely ditching all the stuff I've grown to hate in his work. It's a pity everything that followed it was overtly self-reflexive and bordering on plagiarism. He's a great director that's really lost his way IMO. I haven't written him off however and I'm sure he'll kick my ass with a true American classic in the vein of his first three flicks.
