We've covered Halloween and Friday 13th, Saw was brilliant at the beginning, the second and third films were good and everything after that was dire.

Even classics like the Omen movies got worse as they went on. Thinking about it whilst nowhere near as good as the original the three Psycho sequels are not terrible and the Hellraiser films weren't really any worse as they went on and even tried some interesting ideas on the original premise, oh and Hellworld is fantastic.

Any other shouts? Is say the Romero dead movies but he kinda killed the franchise with diary and survival, both not terrible but certainly not worthy enteries in the series.
Myself and leezuki (plus others) discussed the other hellraisers in depth in the (Hellraiser remake thread). IMO Hellworld was a big two fingers up at the fans but Deader was the gold and the reward for persevering with the series. I think the Leprechaun series got better up part 4 (which took the silliness as far as it could go) but part 5 is a contender of worst movie ever made and 6 was a snorefest.

I enjoyed Return Of The Living Dead parts 1, 2 and 3 but after that it became a chore to watch.
Plus a shout out to Scanners 3 though while not better than the first film was much better than the second.
