If I'm understanding correctly what they said on the video I just watched, she has won her appeal.

I haven't followed this closely, but I watch the news every morning while getting ready for work, so couldn't help but hear about it. I've found it interesting that this case and the case of Casey Anthony got so much media attention. There are murder trials going on every day in the U.S. What made these two cases stand out? About 3-4 years ago, I was on a jury of a murder trial. To me, it was a pretty sensational case. A young woman was accused of bludgeoning her ex-boyfriend's current girlfriend in his apartment. And the trial I was involved with was the defendant's third trial. The first two ended in a hung jury......as did our trial. The trial lasted two months and barely made the local news. If you're curious about it, Google the name Irina Malinovskaya, she was a student at Wharton University, her ex-boyfriend (Robert Bondar) was a student at Widener Law School, and the deceased (Irina Zlotnikov) was a student at Temple University.

So, I'll ask again....what made the other two cases different that they made national news?
