Wouldn't Sidney just have sympathised and agreed "yeah, that was fucked up of our mother...", being at the loss of having never met a brother, knowing he was lied to as well?
You'd at least think that since the killer seemed to show a bit more intelligence and balls than the former killers, handling everything on his own, being right at the scene of a few of the murders and pulling it off, you would think that maybe, he'd at very least consider the situation before deciding to kill her.
As for the killers motivation in the fourth one...complete shit...even worse.
That said I didn't mind it, the whole scream franchise has been taking the piss one way or another so that it came off as a parody is fine by me...in my opinion scream did "scary movie" before Scary Movie did, SM just did it in a way that was "scream for dummies".
But yeah I'd have liked for a half decent plot to be there fourth time around, to lift it from the third one, but, nope, didn't happen.
Personally I haven't really liked a Scream movie since the second.

I agree with you on all of that. I think my biggest problem was i love the first one, liked the second one, didnt like the third and since hearing about the fourth i was really excited and had a lot of expectations going in. That was essentially my downfall. I'm sure if i hadnt hyped myself up so much i probably could've enjoyed in on some level, or maybe not. Maybe it really was just that bad. There really was nothing i liked about it especially the killer. Definitely the worst of all three.
