I've never been a fan of outlines myself. I have things in mind when i write, a beginning, ending, character's and such but i dont have everything planned out before i write. I prefer to let the story speak for itself and have situations and things come out of the events and the writing.
Obviously i plan things, i never start writing a story unless i know the ending beforehand. What i usually find myself doing is that while i'm writing one thing, im always thinking about the next one in the back of my mind.
