The " Samurai 1, 2 & 3" positioned at #15, #18 & #19 in the list above are a part of the Samurai trilogy which I recommended in my above post, which is available as an excellent box set from Criterion. A valuable and must buy IMO, if you are a Samurai film fan.

The Lone Wolf and Cub series are excellent entertainers too.
A personal favorite of mine stands at #28 in that list - Zatoichi Meets Yojimbo. Don't be fooled by it's rank, it's one of the most fantastic and visually stunning samurai films ever made, arguably.
I could shuffle some films around that list, but overall it is a pretty solid one.
