Ditto. A beautiful film with great performances by both of them.
The Rain aka Dark Fields (2009)
The residents of Perseverance are oppressed with a curse after digging out a 'hat' of Indian Shaman. Each year they suffer an affliction to their bodies and a drought to their land. Desperate to save their families, the people of Perseverance make a pact with that evil-supernatural shaman who promises to bring rain to their town in exchange for the sacrifice of three of their children.
Though the plot sounds kinda cliched and the film is bit too long in length with some dull moments but it wasn't a bad movie at all. I kinda liked it. The tale of that cursed town told over in 3 generations in 3 parallel stories and they weave together nicely. The story is at times a bit on the cheesy side but a few other moments are more tense. The director did a good job at transitioning among the storylines by keeping the continuity intact. The cast includes David Carradine, Dee Wallace, Richard Lynch and
Evil Dead’s Ellen Sandweiss.
