Saw 3D: Overall, I've liked the Saw series for the most part. The last few have become a bit stagnant though. The first was great, then at least with the sequels they tried to change it up a bit. After that they became quite formulaic. At least there seemed to be an over-arcing storyline being woven throughout the series which made it far more interesting than your typical slasher series like Friday the 13th or Freddy.
But now we come to what supposedly is the final movie. What a poor way to end the series. Although I guess technically they did end it in such a fashion that if they so chose, they could continue milking the franchise. I just couldn't get over the bad writing, the laughable special effects (strawberry jam-bright CGI blood and very silly looking CGI deaths), and just how none of the traps felt very Saw-like as they all pretty much felt unsurvivable. I sincerely hope that this is the actual final addition to the series. It's just too bad that it's such a terrible end to it all.
