Really affecting low-budget indie film chronocling a year in the lives of some ineffectual teachers, told in a documentary style. To be honest, I didn't read the description very carefully and for the first 40 minutes or so, I thought it WAS a documentary. Very convincingly depicts all the things young teachers have to learn to deal with- apathetic students, hostile students, apathetic school administration, school politics, school beaurocracy, their own shortcomings as teachers & people.
Every performance is spot on- I really believed every character- all the teachers, all the students, and the script is very original. I highly recommend this for fans of small indie films. There's no action- nothing- it's all character study, but very deftly done.
