I can see why Christoph Waltz won so many accolades, he was superb in this. The opening scene in the french farmhouse was brilliant and was the best part of the film which, overall, is patchy. Michael Fassbender was the other highlight as the British spy but Brad Pitt, Im afraid, was pretty awful, as were all the so called basterds who came across as a gang stupid idiots somehow evading capture in the French countryside for years.
That said, its still the best QT film since Pulp Fiction and well worth catching.
Predators
Enjoyed it, plays out along fairly expected lines but it looked good and had good characters., Adrien Brody's dark knight voiced aside! probably the second best Pred movie behind Predator.

I havent seen Predator (probably wont) I must disagree with you about IB. The idea of rewriting history was for what purpose. A few laughs (scalping?)
Like I said elsewhere this is one of those flics where you either love or hate it
IMO it was just a waste of time. If you want to see a true skewering of the Nazis look at the musical number in The Producers. QT will never be Mel Brooks
Jackie Brown is ten times the movie IB was IMO
