It's very jaring to go from a comic relief comedy scene. To a scene about gang rape.

Personally, I feel people shouldn't pull punches when making a movie. If someone wants to do a movie that is part comedy part disturbing horror, then it shouldn't be a huge problem. Look at Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. One part of the movie is pretty comedic and satirical, but then the other part of the movie falls dead into horror and leaves the comedy right out of it.
