Trainspotting (1996). One of the best gritty and funny flicks to come from the kingdom. Danny Boyle scored big time with this one.
Cache (2005). This turned out to be a rather cerebral film that poses as an everday psycho-thriller. Nothing really makes sense as to why things are going on, making for a chilling atmosphere. The acting was awesome on all accounts. There were no supermodels or uber-heros here, just kinda chubby, middle-aged and mundane sorts, making for a down to earth intensity. How they acted and reated was disturbingly human. The camera work was at times disturbing, but for reasons unknown. A great flick that is probably not for everyone as there is not a lot of action driving this movie; but for movie-philes that can be moved without an action hero this dark flick should be perfect. Ashe.
