See, I understand the "point" of the mall sequence, but I find it kinda lame. I think that the original
Dawn of the Dead made its commentary about seeking shelter in consumerism, but the remake treated it as more of an homage to the original. Also, in terms of the "human beast," I thought that their lax behavior reflected more on the human SLOB. I get the whole consumerism thing. I wanted a continuation of the seige film.
