I don't really have a problem with remakes. There isn't a long list of remakes I really like but they don't harm the original, regardless of how bad they are. Didn't enjoy Zombie's Halloween, but then again I haven't enjoyed any of his work, so no big surprise there. The Thing, The Fly, The Blob are all quality remakes so I'm prepared to put up with all the rubbish ones as long as gems like those pop up every now and again.
