Doesn't get much funnier than Python humor, and this is some of their best work.
Even though this one isn't quite on par with Holy Grail in terms of hilarity, it delivers a biting, vicious satire of Christianity and some truly brilliant sequences - Pontius Pilate's "Biggus Dickus" tirade, the Judean People's Front (or was it the People's Front of Judea?), a lesson in Latin delivered by a Centurion, and - of course - a classic chorus of crucified convicts singing about the "Bright Side of Life".
Classic Monty Python - the perfect comedic mixture of nonsense, surrealism, satire and though-provoking humor.

I've always undoubtedly preferred Life of Brian. It's such an enormous slap in the face. Definately one of my very favorite comedies.
