That's the effect that the death of a celebrity has.

A few years ago, I bet half the people phoning in to radio shows mourning his death would have been quite happy to mock and laugh at him. Look at Jade Goody. Everyone hated her until she got cancer, then loads of people suddenly loved her:confused:

That isn't to say he did have a huge fan base. He had a hell of a lot of supporters at the trial and will always have those faithful to him. I just think it's helped people remember the old Michael, because they want to remember him in a good way because he's dead, and a lot of people don't agree with being cruel about the dead.
