I mostly agree. It definitely falters for a while after the killer is revealed, but that makes sense. They kind of had to figure out where they wanted to go after finally throwing away the catalyst for the show (Laura's murder), albeit somewhat of a MacGuffin. Plus Lynch and Mark Frost had lost a lot of creative control. And it also definitely did start getting great again right before the ending. I think if the show hadn't been discontinued, it would have been amazing to see what other stories they would have come up with to explore the world of Twin Peaks.
