The advantage is limited to the remaining 2 contestants in each group, so I think all is fair and well here.

The first round of submissions are over, and this is how the Scoreboard looks right now...
Team Grindhouse - 100 points,
Ace Assassins - 117 points,
Killer's Nightmares - 110 points.
Assassins are in the LEAD!!
Still plenty of time to the deadline. 2 contestants from each group are yet to send in their entries.
Will it be a close call? We will see.
