problem is VHS tapes are so big, plus prone to damage due to the very nature of how they play. plus they oxidize and go to hell after a while.

i understand the appeal of grain - but i also appreciate seeing a movie without tracking problems and actually being able to see what the hell is going on when someone's being chased through the woods with an axe - or in a dark dorm hallway.

if i wanted suspense without being able to see anything - i'd listen to old radio programs :)
