We wouldnt have gone on our own but it was PG so i gigured my kid would like it - and he did enjoy it.

i thought it was .. ok.. at least it avoided most of the vampire cliche's we've seen in the last few years .. (cgi, blue tint, leather)

it was more love story than anything but it wasnt anywhere near as bad as i was expecting.

goth kids - stay home... it wont be your thing .. no brooding in graveyards ... no long stringy black hair ... no fetish outfits.

My 24 year old daughter [she has read all the books ] dragged my 17 year old son to a midnight screening of this last Thursday.....he wasn't too impressed. He said all the girls in the audience were giggling at the stupidest times [ he hasn't read the books..so he didn't get the "in jokes" ] plus he thought the effects were pretty lame.
