It incorporates it quite well, while not overkilling the entire game with it which is why I think it works.
Did you know ps2 (among a few other consoles, I think) actually had a game called "free running" on it?
I have not spoken to a single person who's tried that game...
So yeah, try it - I hope the "different" control system doesn't piss you off.
