since we're talking 'urban' music ..
here's who i can honestly say i like :
Public Enemy
Run DMC
Tribe Called Quest
De La Soul
Jungle Brothers
Black Sheep (my favorite)
Fugees (and the solo efforts)
I prefer Trip Hop and old school.
i dont hear much the kids are playing that i can stand - but i'm told that there is a huge underground scene that is still good music.
