So what actually happened with the replacement you got? Was it that you bought the firmware upgrade for $10 and all your content got erased?
Did your content get erased off the ipod touch, or off your itunes library on your computer as well?
Was the content itunes protected content (ie stuff that you bought from the istore) or non-protected content?
It is really shitty when upgrades make things worse than the thing you upgraded from! Hopefully this is easily recoverable and Apple or someone here can point you in the right direction to getting your stuff back on your ipod...
