clever is fine, but never be annoying... kind of a crucial element of any film is that it draws an audience in and that bit of "cleverness" detracts from everything going on onscreen.

this is not a flame, this is a note... you put it out there for criticism and I'm telling you that if the shit on the screen is supposed to be dog's hair in the shot, then you went way too far with a bad idea. Honestly I couldn't be bother to click it and watch it again because I found the "device" completely off-putting

good luck with your filmmaking and I salute you for doing it...
