Or maybe you're just too much of a non-conformist to ever agree with the masses. You'll prejudice yourself against things based solely on the fact that they're "popular". Heaven forbid that I'm not the only person with good taste! I can't be snobby when I actually agree with popular opinion!

And you did miss my point anyway - I never said that you should like one version better than the other. I never once defended or attacked either movie - I just stated that it's hard to classify the 80's version as a "remake". Whether you like it or not is up to you - I was just trying to have a friendly discussion about why you claim not to like it.

I'm not trying to change your opinion - I'd just like to point out that you're even more of a "lost cause" (as you put it) than Rayne is.
