The monsters walked out. The sun was setting. Within minutes they would be plunged into darkness. Inside the bunker, some conversations went on. Alliances were formed. Plans were made. But it was only when the doors opened that they really got hit with the facts. They were going to be murderers. What could they do? What if they died? But there wasn't much time to think about that.

"You all have five minutes to run. There are 2 square miles of land to hide in. Caves. Trees. Take your pick. But choose wisely, and watch you back. Let the hunting begin!"

Curse that __V__! Thought Murderdoll. She had known he was trouble from the beginning. She joined HDC Inc. a little while after him, and she never liked him. He always seemed like a busy body. A bit of a know it all. And now, he was pitting them against each other! But as she ran, she thought deeper into herself.
She liked the idea. Somewhere inside, she had always been a killer. But there were those she wouldn't kill. Not unless she had to. And those she would...

She found herself in an empty part of the zone. Nowhere to hide. She began
to panic. She was going to get shot! She was going to die! She dived down to the floor. It had been at least ten minutes. No time to get up. The sun had gone down now and she was wearing dark clothes. Maybe she woul-

BANG!

She felt a sharp pain in her leg. She looked down and there was a hole in it! She looked up and tried to run. she fell over. She couldn't put any wait on her leg or it might break off. She spun round and saw two shapes. They were sinking into the ground! No. They were running down a hill! If only she had thought to run a bit further. She could have seen them first. She frantically crawled along. They came back into sights. She fired her gun, praying it hit one! They carried on running. She'd missed. Wait...NO! She hadn't one shape stumbled and fell. She crawled along. Down the hill she rolled. Then she came to him. The other person ran off into the distance.

Fortunato carried on running. he had chosen not to fire his shot. He'd save it for later. Murderdoll wasn't worth it. He had to make it count. He stopped and looked around. Up in the distance. Jenna. Just standing there. Doing nothing. He pulled his gun up. Almost too easy. He took a step forward. SLAM! He fell down a hole. Leaves and sticks fell with him. His last though was that it was a trap, then he hit his head. Out cold.

It worked! Jenna ran over to the hole and pointed her gun down. Ferretchucker walked up beside her. Back at the office they had become friends. Ferretchucker was a young intern from England and she took pity on him. Everybody at the office was usually making jokes about him.

They high fived.

"When he comes to, he can easily get out of there. One of us has to stay guard while the other keeps watch." A click. She looked at ferretchucker who was pointing his gun at her.

"What the hell are you doing?" She said.

"Like you said. He can get out. I can't risk him shooting me. Or you betraying me." He said. He was sweating.

"You coward! I-" BANG! Like she had been punched in the chest. She fell down into the hole. Ferretchucker ran off. She looked across. Less than an inch away was Fortunato's bloody head. Was he dead? She checked and he was breathing. Not dead. Not even really hurt. It was only a graze on his head.

She began to cry. What if she was found. Two or three more bullets and she'd be dead for sure. She remembered what the note had said. If any bullets aren't fired, they'd all be shot twice. Fortunato wasn't going to fire his gun any time soon. She worked it out. If nobody saw where she was, and fortunato remained out cold, she'd get shot twice. If she made fortunato shoot her, there's a chance somebody else wouldn't fire, and she'd be dead for sure.

She made up her mind and looked at fortunato. BANG!

Down the hill, the sounds of two bullets rang out. Murderdoll could see some trees about half a mile away. The sound came from there. At her side, Phalanx was breathing heavily. The shot had got him bad. Right in the ribs. It didn't hit his heart though. Luckily. He groaned.

"Listen. You need to shoot. For all we know, nobody else could be around. There's only about a minute to go. The sun's up! Shoot me. That way there's less chance of the watch towers shooting us both." She said. She wasn't sure how she felt for Phalanx. No romantic feelings, but he had his days. One day he'd be the nicest person at the office. Others, he'd be cruel. It may have been his fault they lost, but she had already shot him. She'd got payback and now they were even. And she couldn't risk the watch towers. There was one about a mile away, but with good snipers, they could get her.

Phalanx shook his head.

"DO IT!" She shouted.

He raised his gun to her leg. It was then that she realised. He still had a shot left, and from the angle of her wound, the shot had come from the direction of Phalanx OR the other person. Somebody else was there! Somebody else had shot her. That means there could be others there. They were sitting ducks!

Phalanx clicked his gun. She frantically looked around. With that bullet and the possible others, she'd die.

"Wait!" She shouted. Phalanx rested his gun for a moment. BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!

No pain. She looked around and saw several shapes moving down the hill.

HE DIDN'T FIRE HIS GUN! THAT WAS 8 SHOTS SHE HAD HEARD. THAT MEANT-

A sound like a siren rang out.

She felt pain all around her. She gained the strength to look up to see three of the shapes on the ground, in the sunlight she could see blood. coming from them. Two shapes were running. BANG BANG! One got taken down. The other rolled and the dirt next to him shot up in the air. BANG! He fell to the floor and began crawling. BANG! Another shot in him.

She looked down and Phalanx. What was left of phalanx. Two more holes were around were she had shot him. There was a hole through his palm and another further up the arm. Another hole was through his neck. But where the snipers had shot, what was left of his face looked like the inside of a pie. He was dead. But she wasn't. She would live to keep fighting. But how long would 'til she met the same fate...
