Yes he has and Scorcese hasn't made anything decent for fuckin' ages either.
Bringing Out The Dead had its moments but it was still pretty disappointing.

I avoided it for awhile but after enjoying The Mist I decided to give it a spin. Had a few creepy scenes but just really didn't work for me. Might give it another go sometime and see if it grows on me.
