I had a separate glass shelf made just for box-sets and book volumes bigger than those which fit into my library. Its two parts - the lower one has all the hugeass volumes of books like
The Arabian Nights and shit, and the upper one holds the DVD box-sets. My wife has some framed movie posters set on either side of it.
Makes quite an impression on the guests. :D
