Yeah... The looking exactly the same... Confused me... A lot.

I just... JUST saw this film this afternoon...

Honestly, I thought that the beginning of the movie was amazing. I thought that the director really created an atmosphere of alienation and desperation. I love everything that is post-apocalyptic, and I thought that the setting was incredibly chilling. I also liked the character of Neville and his relationship to Sam. I thought that Will Smith played a really great central character that was also flawed and had physical weakness.

The first half of the film was brilliant.

However, there is a specific turning point after which the film clearly went downhill very rapidly and the suddenly tacked on a ridiculously cheesey Hollywood ending. I am interested to see whether or not it holds true in the James Matheson original.

I give the movie a B/B+, also noting that some of my disappointment MIGHT have been spurred by the ASSHOLES to my right TALKING THROUGH THE WHOLE FILM (and when I asked them very politely to "Please be quiet," they were very rude).

I hate people.

...

I have more movies to rant about but am oh, so so tired..........
