There are some movies where the cinema is the only place to give the film justice, e.g. Jaws, Jurassic Park and the Peter Jackson's remake of King Kong, etc. All of which I've seen at the flicks.

If Im really desperate to see a film then yes, I'll go and see it at the cinemas.
However, the majority of films I've seen are on DVD or VHS.

Its pretty much a matter of convenience for me as the good horror films tend to be on later at night, I don't have my own car and live in the wilds and there isn't a local cinema, so have to rely on either taxis, who milk you dry and buses, which are non existent - around here a film may start at 9:00 or 10:00pm and therefore not finish to 11:00/12:00 pm. The last bus is 10:30pm.
